Panic Disorder
Individuals with panic disorder experience recurrent, unexpected panic attacks (discrete periods of intense fear or discomfort) that involve some or all of the following symptoms:
- pounding heart or palpitations
- sweating, hot flushes or chills
- chest pain or discomfort
- difficulty breathing
- trembling or shaking
- tingling or numbness
- nausea or abdominal distress
- choking sensations
- feelings of unreality or detachment
- dizziness, lightheadedness or feeling faint
- fear of losing control or going crazy
- fear of dying
